DEPARTURE FROM U.S.

Mon., 9/20, DAY 2

Arrive Israel in the afternoon and transfer to our hotel along the Sea of Galilee.

Tue., 9/21, DAY 3

Galilee - Ascend the MT. OF BEATITUDES where we will  worship our amazing God. Visit CAPERNAUM, center of Jesus’ ministry, and see the ancient synagogue and ruins.  Travel towards Nazareth, the terrain Jesus grew up around, to KFAR KEDEM where we will bake bread over an open fire, dress in Biblical clothes and learn about life in Bible times.  Proceed to our adopted CHILDREN’S CENTER for the underprivileged.  We will distribute warm winter outfits to the kids. Visit the JORDAN RIVER for a baptismal service.  Overnight Galilee.

Wed., 9/22, DAY 4

Awake to an inspirational view of the SEA OF GALILEE.  Take a BOAT RIDE ON THE SEA OF GALILEE for a time of singing and fellowship.  Have time to shop for local spices, herbs, teas and date products. Visit an ORTHODOX SYNAGOGUE for a special blessing from the rabbi.  Continue to the JUDEAN DESERT where we will OVERNIGHT UNDER THE STARS IN TENTS LIKE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL DID DURING THE EXODUS.  This will be an insightful and meaningful way to experience the holiday! 

Thurs., 9/23, DAY 5

In the morning we will learn about surviving in the desert and the life of the patriarchs.  You will also have the opportunity to RIDE A CAMEL.  Continue to MASADA, where after the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, Jewish zealots withstood the Romans for many years before finally being defeated.  For those who have been to Masada before, you will have the option to spend time at the DEAD SEA relaxing and swimming. We will stop at QUMRAN where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.  View MT. NEBO, where Moses saw the Promised Land before his final work was completed.  Tonight will be the opening for the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles Celebrations. Overnight Jerusalem.

Fri., 9/24, DAY 6

 “His foundation is in the Holy Mountain.  The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.” Begin the day with a panoramic view from atop the MT. OF OLIVES where our guide will give us a perspective of the city today and how it was in the time of Jesus.  Descend to the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE with its 2000 year old olive trees.  Stop for devotion at the outlook towards Bethlehem.   Continue to the GARDEN TOMB, where we will take communion and reflect on Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice and redemption.  Walk through the quiet garden and look towards the skull shaped hill of CALVARY. Overnight Jerusalem.

Sat., 9/25, DAY 7

Today will be a free day to rest and enjoy Shabbat or explore the Old City of Jerusalem.    Feast of Tabernacles celebration in the evening. 

Sun., 9/26, DAY 8

Jerusalem - Our first visit will be the TEMPLE MT., the holiest place on earth.  Continue through the JEWISH QUARTER OF THE OLD CITY.  Enter into the JEWISH HERODIAN MANSIONS and see the CARDO, the ancient Roman shopping mall.  Presentation at the BURNT HOUSE before visiting the TEMPLE INSTITUTE where we will view the reconstruction of the treasures of the Temple and garments of the High Priest.  Descend to the WESTERN WALL for prayer.  Visit the SOUTHERN STEPS of Herod’s Temple and see the presentation at the DAVIDSON CENTER.   Dinner in a SUKKAH at our hotel.  Feast Celebrations. Overnight Jerusalem.

Mon., 9/27, DAY 9

In the morning we will travel through the countryside of Abraham and Sara, towards Hebron.  We will VISIT RABBI RISKIN’S (a long time contributor to the Jerusalem Post.)  CENTER FOR BIBLICAL STUDY.  Here we will have a chance to study the Scriptures at an Orthodox Yeshiva.  Visit the MILITARY BASE THAT TRAINS DOGS to counter terrorism.  Here we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with IDF soldiers. Overnight Jerusalem.

Tue,  9/28, DAY 10

Morning participation in the FEAST SEMINARS.  In the afternoon, join Christians from around the world for the JERUSALEM MARCH, as we dress in native costume and carry banners and flags down the streets of Jerusalem in Christian support of the Jewish State.  “Thou wilt arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is a time to be gracious to her for the appointed time has come.” Overnight Jerusalem.

Wed., 9/29, DAY 11

Visit the new HERTZL MUSEUM, the man who said, “If you will it, it is no dream,” (on the idea of a Jewish homeland). Travel to beautiful CASAREA on the MEDITERRANEAN COAST, where the gospel first went out to the gentiles.  Here we will visit the Roman Amphitheatre, archaeological park and relax at a café overlooking the Sea. Farewell dinner at SUKKAH HA LEVANA. Proceed to airport.
