 Join us on February 3 for our 76th Erev Shabbat teaching and joyous celebration. Our theme is Watchmen on the Wall. One of the most important ministries for believers is that of the “Watchmen.” There are more than 300 Scriptures that allude in some way to the watchmen.
As with many other non-Greco-Roman concepts, it is a ministry that we have overlooked and not understood. How could we have missed such an important ministry? Yet, the Lord is now calling us to be watchmen “for such a time as this.”
Isaiah reads, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He established and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7).
God Himself is the chief watchman overseeing His plan of redemption.He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). Jesus warned us to be watchful and ready (Luke 21:36). Are you watching and ready for the coming of the Lord and the challenging days ahead?
