Remembering Kristallnacht

Why We Must Never Forget

On November 9-10, 1938 the Nazis went on a rampage of terror against the Jews. They set fire to approximately 250 synagogues, destroyed 815 shops and hundreds of homes, and rounded up 30,000 Jewish men and women and sent them to concentration camps.

This evil action of hate against the Jews came to be known as Kristallnacht, meaning the “Night of Broken Glass,” because the streets were filled with broken glass from the shops and synagogues that the Nazis destroyed.

· Has anybody noticed? Once again anti-Semitism is rampant in Europe.

· The nations are condemning Israel and condoning terrorism.

· Islamic fundamentalists are attacking America and want to destroy our  Judeo-Christian way of life.

· The cry of jihad is, “Today we fight the Saturday people, tomorrow the Sunday people.”

Now More than Ever, Jews and Christians Must Stand Together and Say, “Never Again.”

If We Do Not Stand Together We May Find

    Ourselves Standing Alone!

Don’t miss this inspiring story of Max Glauben

as he shares how he survived the

Warsaw Ghetto and five death camps.

In 1939 the Germans invaded Poland and Max and his entire family was placed in the Warsaw Ghetto. After the uprising and the burning of the Ghetto, Max and his family hid in underground shelters where they were later discovered by the Nazis. They were taken to Majdanek Gas Chambers and Crematoriums.

In 1945 Max was shipped to Dachau but something happened that would change his destiny. Please join us at this Kristallncht Memorial to hear “the rest of the story.”

Max is past President of the Holocaust Survivors in Dallas and a life member of the Boards of Directors of The Dallas Holocaust Museum.
